ANNOUNCEMENT
S.C. DENIES PETITION ALLOWING POLO BARONG IN COURT
The Supreme Court recently issued a resolution in Bar Matter No. 2223 denying the petition to allow lawyers to wear short sleeves polo barong tagalong during summer sessions in courtrooms.
The resolution dated June 15, 2010 reads as follows:
B.M. No. 2223 (In Re: In the Matter of the Petition to Allow Practicing Lawyers to Appear in Court in Polo Barong During Summer Season, Dante S. David, petitioner). – The Court Resolved to DENY the Petition dated April 13, 2010 filed by Dante S. David, praying that practicing lawyers be allowed to wear short sleeves polo barong tagalong during summer seasons while in the courtroom.”
